Our Programs and Courses
We offer a range of programs and courses for different interests and career paths. Online Registration
As an international student, it is possible to apply for your preferred program online. This process is both convenient and straightforward, allowing you to avoid the hassle of filling out a paper application. We encourage you to review our programs, pick a course, and submit your application online at your earliest convenience.
English Proficiency
To be considered for admission to a program at Bay River College, applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency since English is the official language of instruction. As a potential student, we will verify if you are comfortable interacting and learning in English.
Visas & Permits
International students require a study permit issued by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to study in a program longer than six months. Arriving Canada
We understand that coming to a new country can be daunting. We offer support services including housing options to help you settle in and adjust to your new surroundings. Our dedicated advisors and counselors are always available to answer your questions and can guide you through everything from housing and transportation to cultural norms and customs.
Emergency Medical Insurance Plan
Bay River College requires all international students to have medical insurance to be enrolled. Students can either bring their own coverage or subscribe to the Alberta Health Insurance plan if their duration of studies is 12 months or more. We advise you to subscribe immediately after you arrive in Canada.
For students with a duration of studies less than 12 months, kindly purchase a private health insurance before coming to Canada. Students without health insurance will be responsible for paying for their own medical expenses. Bay River College requires all students to provide a copy of their insurance to be kept on file.
Working In Canada
International students must ensure they have the necessary immigration documents to study, work, and live in Canada. We offer support from admissions to graduation, including immigration advising, academic support, and on-campus activities. Career Services
The Career Services Department at Bay River College aims to bridge the gap between the classroom and the employment world (market and workplace). Students are taught to understand how to navigate the employment market by utilizing effective tools, skills and ideas in order to gain employment in their field of study. Bay River College International Education Office is committed to provide unique services of our International Students and we offer the services related to:- Social Activities

- Tips on how to market skills and experience to employers and recruiters
- One-on-one meetings to review cover letter and resume, mock interviews, elevator pitch
- Career Services assistance is available to students while in school and as graduates
- Placement orientation is facilitated before students commence placement to ensure student preparedness
- Graduates are marketed to employers via incoming job orders to assist with gaining employment in their field of study
- Help graduates understand their skills and accomplishments
- Minimize career limiting behaviors, fears and insecurities and increase confidence Regarding pathways after completing the program, our college is private so we don’t provide PGWP or work permit. As per current Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) guidelines, international students graduating from licensed program at a private college are not eligible for a PGWP.
