The Medical Device Reprocessing Program is designed for surgical processors or sterile processing technicians, who play a crucial role in the healthcare sector by ensuring proper sterilization of medical equipment. They are responsible for decontaminating, disinfecting, storing, preparing, testing, and packaging surgical and medical tools using appropriate sterilization techniques and equipment.

Additionally, MDR includes how to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in their work areas and inspecting and caring for the supplies used in surgical and other medical procedures.
